The Text Analysis Summit is a gathering of many of the most active and creative developers in the humanities computing community to elaborate a strategy for kick-starting collaboration on a new generation of tools able to respond to the needs of the broader community of scholars using electronic texts. The primary objective is to formulate an effective means of supporting the full process of tools development, including the following:

The Summit is an opportunity to examine past failures and successes, formulate a strategy for future development, and establish a network of scholars that will provide the foundation for a new generation of text analysis tools to emerge.
