Outline of workshop
- Overview of the application
- Setting up XTeXT - overview of installation. We can assume it is already installed.
- Setting up an account for a project
- Creating a repository
- Loading texts into it
- Checking that it is working - using the command line interface
- Creating the first response page to access repository - uses XSL
- Write a sample script to make a simple search work and return a concordance
- More complex scripts to search using XML and to return different results (this would be repeated)
- Work on scripts that use XML like "search all speeches by character"
- Work on complex results like "show entire speech"
- Using the session
- Conclusion - how it can be used as web service
