September 9, 2009 Meeting

Day of DH

We are aiming to have the data tagged and exported by the end of September. Then Stan and I will proof and we will simultaneously polish up the introduction so that we can submit to DHQ in October.

Stan will follow up on the ethics - figure out where that stands. He will also follow up with Brian on parsing the data.

We discussed doing the project again and agreed we wanted to do it. We will revisit later.

  • Oct 1: Tagging complete
  • Nov 1: Data cleaned, ready for publish

TAPoR and SEASR

We talked about the VM on WestGrid? and moving JiTR and TAPoR there. The goal is to have a development version of TAPoR on the TAPoR servers and the production on WestGRid?. To that end we need to:

  • Get an account for TAPoR portal and install it here. Ideally it would be in its own VM.
  • We need to get a code versioning system like SVN set up and bug tracking. I will request this of TAPoR.
  • I need to get support from James for the TAPoR install.
  • Megan and Kamal need to figure out what is happening with the microphone and video cam for the TAPoR lab
  • We also need accounts and the smart board hooked up.

We also talked about:

  • Kamal will get an account on the TAPoR server for INKE for the Paper Drill. Stan will talk to Mark to see what the account needs.
  • Kamal will follow up on SEASR install.

JiTR

Peter will have the Best of Show document up on the wiki and the wiki reorganized by Monday meeting.

We will need the technical document from James and should then be able to sign off on the grant. Then we start writing the papers:

  • The one on JiTR will be led by GR
  • The one on the personas/scenarios will be led by Stan
  • Peter will put the bibliography up in the shared bibliography that we are using.
  • Kamal will send an e-mail about what it would take to upgrade JiTR to production.

TAToo

We talked about TAToo. We all agreed to test it and send Peter notes:
  • Test it on different browsers
  • Test the generation of the code and installing it on a blog or wiki page
Peter will then do the last fixes and we will announce on Humanist. Finally we will edit the paper and submit.
