Synopsis
I'd be interested in a tool that identifies text in photos and extracts it. This is connected to the Dictionary of Words in the Wild.
Proposed Judging Criteria
We could provide a corpus for development and have a parallel one for judging. The tool interface should also be subject to judging based on its affordances and ease of use.
Proposed Evaluation Method
See above. Colour vs b&w could be two categories. Also partial text of various kinds.
Necessary materials
Test data could come from the Dictionary of Words in the Wild.
